Bambusa chungii (Tropical Blue Bamboo)

A rare bamboo from Southern China, the culms develop a powder-like waxy "bloom" which give them an elegant, soft blue color. This is a medium tight clumper and requires a little more room in the garden than some of the tight clumpers. A beautiful accent plant.

Bambusa Dolichomerithalla (Silverstripe)

Very attractive dark green culms with occasional silvery-white stripes. Culms can turn a soft yellow color with sunlight and age. Makes a great privacy hedge.

Bambusa Emeiensis Flavidovirens (Lemon Lime)

This rare bamboo promises to be a great hit. It is a tight clumber, very erect, and branchless near the ground. It goes through wonderful transformations of color and striping, with canes that are light green with dark green stripes, yellow with green stripes and dark green canes with light green stripes.

Bambusa eutuldoides viridi-vittata (Asian Lemon Bamboo)

This is a new import from China. It has beautiful yellow canes with occasional green striping and some occasional variegation in the leaves. It has a vertical growth form with low branching. It makes a stunning ornamental.

Bambusa gibba

Somewhat similar in growth form to a textilis, this fast growing bamboo has an erect growth pattern with dense foliage. Often overlooked by landscapers, this is becoming one of our favorite selections for a hedge or privacy screen.

Bambusa glaucophylla (Malay variegated, Malay dwarf, Taiwan variegated)

A spectacular and unusual bamboo with variegated leaves. It can be used to create a wonderful hedge, a single bush, or by trimming the lower branches, a dense low canopy.

Bambusa lako (Timor Black Bamboo)

One of the most attractive bamboos in the world, this black bamboo from East Timor makes an excellent ornamental plant. Occasional vertical stripes of green and yellow add to the magnificence of this extraordinary plant.

Bambusa malingensis (Sea Breeze Bamboo)

A fast growing bamboo, it's growth form is a little broader than a textilis. It has fairly small leaves and can be used as an accent plant in the garden. It is also makes a wonderful hedge or privacy screen.

Bambusa Mutabilis (Recently reclassified as B. textilis 'Mutabilis') (Emerald Bamboo)

A beautiful, erect bamboo with a whitish-blue waxy bloom on the canes. It is a tight clumper with small leaves and dense foliage. An outstanding ornamental bamboo.

Bambusa oldhamii (Giant Timber Bamboo)

An old-time favorite, this striking plant is a somewhat open clumper, with very erect growth and short branches. A very impressive plant that will amaze you when the new culms emerge from the ground. One of our top five favorites.

Bambusa Pervariabilis Viridistriatus (Sunburst Bamboo)

This is an outstanding ornamental bamboo, with lemon-yellow canes accented by dark green stripes. It is fast growing. Unlike other bamboos, it tends to continue to branch low, even when mature. This is rapidly becoming a popular landscape specimen. We trim the lower branches to expose the beautiful canes.

Bambusa textilis gracilis (Slender Weaver's Bamboo, Graceful Bamboo)

Handsome enough to stand alone, it also makes an excellent hedge or privacy screen. A tight clumper with very erect and tidy growth. Perfect for landscaping in a smaller garden. This is one of our top five favorites.

Bambusa textilis Kanapaha (Royal Bamboo, Wong Chuk Bamboo)

A spectacular specimen bamboo. It can also be used to create a large, very impressive privacy screen or hedge. This is a tight clumper with erect growth.

Bambusa vulgaris Vittata (Painted Bamboo, Hawaiian Golden Bamboo)

One of our most popular bamboos, this is a fabulous plant, with bright golden-yellow culms accented by random dark green stripes. One of our top five favorites.

Bambusa vulgaris Wamin (Dwarf Buddha Belly Bamboo)

An exceptional specimen plant with dramatic swollen internodes. A very unique ornamental plant that does not get as tall as many other bamboos.

Bambusa vulgaris Wamin Striata (Striped Dwarf Buddha Belly Bamboo)

The growth form of this bamboo is identical to Wamin, however the canes are a lighter green color, accented with random dark green stripes.

Dendrocalamus brandisii (Sweet Dragon Bamboo, Teddy Bear Bamboo)

One of the tallest bamboos in the world, with its thick culms and large, tropical leaves, it is a most impressive specimen in the South Florida garden. Underside of leafs are fuzzy like a Teddy Bear.

Dendrocalamus minor Amoenus (Ghost Bamboo, Angel Mist Bamboo)

This is one of our top five favorites. A very rare bamboo from Southern China, it features yellow-green culms with darker green and yellow striations (stripes). The mature clump does not produce lower branches, making it ideal for the smaller garden or along a walkway.

Bambusa sp. Richard Waldron (Patio Bamboo)

Compact erect small bamboo similar to B. Multiplex. Very slow grower with tight erect clump. Has larger leaves than B. Multiplex. Great for containers or hedge.

A tight clumper with green culms and alternating 180 degree yellow striping. Very erect canes with a beautiful color of green. A new species which is becoming a favorite.
